Free piano sheet music from Adele
Her complete name is Adele Laurie Blue Adkins, but people know her simply as Adele, an English musician and singer-songwriter, with a unique voice and way of charming her fans.
Her activity was started as a demo on Myspace, in 2006, due to which she received an offer for a recording contract from XLRecordings. She received her first award one year later, the Brit Awards "Critics' Choice" and 2 years later, in 2008, she was the winner of the "BBC Sound" award.
The title of her debut album is "19", which was released in the year 2008. It was setting the basis of a successful career, as not only fans say, but also the critics. Her album was named four times platinum in the United Kingdom, and double in the United States, where she started by having a real success, appearing at Saturday Night Live, at the end of 2008.
Another award the singer got was at the 2009 Grammy Awards, receiving the title of Best New Artist and Best Female Pop Vocal Performance.
Her second studio album was called "21", being released in the year 2011, on which the singer included beautiful songs, most of them having as background impressing instrumentals, doubling the value of her voice. This album was well received both by fans and critics too, but, comparing it to the first one, "21" was seen as even better than "19", thing demonstrated also by the fact that it brought to Adele no less than six Grammy Awards in 2012, the greatest number of Awards won by a female in the same night.
Brit Awards and three American Music Awards and the 16 times platinum certification in the UK and the over 26 million sold copies worldwide, were other successes that the album registered.
Also, in the US, "21" was placed on top positions longer periods than any other album since 1985 and it is certified Diamond.
Due to her second album, Adele received numerous mentions in the "Guinness World Records" and she is the first singer that sold more than 3 million copies of this album in the UK during a year.
As mentioned before, the most of the songs included on this album have as background gentle accorded piano notes, as for example "Someone Like You", which, accompanied by "Rolling in the Deep", made Adele become the first living artist having two top-five hits in both the United Kingdom Official Singles Chart and the Official Albums Chart simultaneously, this record being previously reached only in 1964, by The Beatles.
"Set Fire to the Rain" is the third song released from the album, became faster than expected her third number one single in the US, fact that gave Adele the opportunity and the honor, as herself sustained, to lead the Billboard 200 concurrently with three Billboard Hot 100 number-ones, thing that no other artist succeeded to do.
No other female in the history of the Billboard Hot 100 had three singles in the top 10 at the same time as a lead singer, and no other female artist succeeded in having two albums in the top five of the 'Billboard 200' and two singles in the top five of the Billboard Hot 100 at the same time.
In 2011 and 2012, Adele was named by Billboard the Artist of the Year. Also, in 2012, VH1 placed her on the fifth position on "Vh1's 100 Greatest Women in Music".
Recently, in 2013, for the song "Skyfall", written for the third "James Bond" film, she received an Academy Award and a Golden Globe Award for Best Original Song.
Named by the American magazine Time one of the most influential people in the world, Adele is also seen as a strong person in her personal life, being forced to face many obstacles, but remaining the same appreciated singer, with a charming style and irreplaceable combinations of voice and piano sheets, which attract rather hearts than people.
