Alecia Beth Moore, better known after her stage name Pink was born on the 8th of September 1979.

She often styles her stage name as P!nk. She is an international famous singer, actress and songwriter from America.

She was born in Abington Township, Montgomery County, Pennsylvania. She originally sung with the Choice girl group until the year 2000 when she began her solo career with her single "There You Go".

Later that year, her first ever studio album was released. It was titled "Can't Take Me Home". The R&B album was a huge hit. It was certified as double-platinum in America.

Pink boosted her recognition with the collaborations with Lil' Kim, Christina Aguilera and Mýa for a cover of "Lady Marmalade" for the 2001 Moulin Rouge! movie soundtrack. That cover won her the first Grammy Award for Best Pop Collaboration with Vocals. Also, that was her first single to peak the first position in the Billboard Hot 100.

In the year 2001 came her second studio album titled "Missundaztood". This one was more personal and oriented to pop rock. Although the record label was against her new style, the album was her biggest one from her career till now (February 2014). The sales of "Missundaztood" exceeded 12 million copies worldwide.

The singles "Get the Party Started", "Don't Let Me Get Me" and "Just Like a Pill", which were the top ones from her album. all charted in the top ten in the United States and the United Kingdom. The latter was her first number one from the United Kingdom.

In November 2003, Pink released her third album, "Try This", preceded by the single "Trouble". Although not her most successful album, Try This earned Pink her first solo Grammy Award, for best female rock vocal performance.

In April 2006 came her fourth album titled I'm Not Dead. After that, in 2008, came her fifth album titled Funhouse. This album was certified double-platinum in the United States. The Truth About Love is her latest album. In was released in 2012.
