About Rascal Flatts

Rascal Flatts is an American group which is formed from Joe Don Rooney, who is responsible for the background vocals and the electric guitar, Gary Le Vox, for the lead vocals and Jay DeMarcus, for the background vocals, bass guitar and keyboards.

The band has been active since 1999, after they signed with Lyric Street Records.

The record producers Marty Williams and Mark Bright were impressed by the group's demo and decided to offer them a chance.

Shortly after, they started recording their first studio album.

The debut single was "Prayin' For Daylight", one of the demos that made a good impression on the producers. It was part of the self-titled debut album and it peaked at number three on the Billboard country charts.

Afterwards, came "This Everyday Love", "While You Loved Me" and "I'm Movin' On", which also reached top ten on the Billboard country charts.

The second album was named "Melt", and it was released in 2002. Tyhe first single was titled "These Days" and topped the country charts. The following singles, "I Melt" and "Love You Out Loud", also proved to be very successful, as they reached top ten on the charts. 

Rascal Flatts' third studio album was "Feels Like Today", and it was released in the second part of the year 2004. The first single was the tile song, and it was followed by "Bless The Broken Road" and "fast Cars And Freedom". There both topped the charts. 

In 2005, the country band released "Me And My Gang", the fourth album, which contained hits such as "What Hurts The Most", the title track, "My Wish" and "Stand", which were all number ones.

In the same year, Rascal Flatts, released a cover of the song "Life Is A Highway", originally performed by Tom Cochrane. The band, along with Carrie Underwood , offered a live performance at the Grammy Awards, in 2007.

The following year, in 2008, launched their first compilation of greatest hits, titled "Greatest Hits Volume I". Their next album was "Unstoppable", in 2009, and it featured hits such as "Here Comes Goodbye", "Summer Nights", "Why" and "Unstoppable". 

After signing with Big Machine Records, Rascal Flatts released another successful albums: "Nothing Like This", "The Best Of Rascal Flatts Live", "Changed", in 2012, and "Rewind", in 2014. 

The country band has gathered much success and appreciation throughout the years, making it one of the greatest musical groups of the past decade.
