About Avicii

Avicii is a Swedish producer, remixer and DJ, on his real name Tim Bergling. He was born on September 8th, 1989 and he's been active in the music industry since 2006. Bergling signed to At Dejfitts Plays, in 2007. His first successful song was "Seek Broomance", which was released in 2010 and reached the charts in many countries. This list includes the United Kingdom, France, Sweden, Belgium and Netherlands. Around the same time, the producer remixed Iio's song, "Rapture" for her new album "Queen of Clubs Trilogy: Onyx Edition". Later that year, he signed with EMI Music Publishing. 

His new single, "Levels", released n 2011, brought him worldwide recognition. The song was inspired by the 1962 hit "Something's Got A Hold On Me", from Etta James. It was written and produced by Bergling. It became number one in Sweden, Hungary and Norway. It was also present in many countries' charts, in top ten: Bosnia, Austria, Finland, Croatia, Germany, Slovenia, Italy, Greece and many others. 

The following year, Avicii was nominated for "Best Dance Recording", at the Grammy Awards, for his collaboration with David Guetta on "Sunshine". In mid 2012, at the Ultra Music Festival, the producer premiered "Superlove", a collaboration with Lenny Kravitz and "Girl Gone Wild", with Madonna. Bergling also released "Silhouettes", with vocals from Salem Al Fakir, which reached number four on Billboard's "Hot Dance Club Songs". He had two sold out shows, in 2012, on which he was helped by Cazzette and Matt Goldman.

At the end of the year, he released "I Could Be The One", along Nicky Romero.

In 2013, Avicii received another Grammy Awards nomination, for "Best Dance Recording", with his song, "Levels". In the first months of the year, he embarked on a tour throughout Australia, Argentina, Venezuela, Brazil, Colombia and Chile. The Swedish producer released an album promo on SoundCloud, on April 11th, 2013. 

In June 2013, he released "Wake Me Up", his greatest success so far, which featured vocals from Aloe Blacc. It stood as the first single from the debut album, "True" and sold more than 260 000 copies in just one week. The huge hit topped most of the charts it entered, and the list includes Germany, New Zealand, Australia, Ireland, Scandinavia, Italy and much many others.

He was ranked number three on the list of "Top 100 DJs", made by DJ Mag in 2013. The fourth single from the album, "Addicted To You", topped the charts in Australia.

To this day, Avicii has collaborated with many important artists like David Guetta, Coldplay, Madonna, Wyclef Jean, Carlos Santana, Adam Lambert and other big names. 

Avicii, although still in his youth, has become a prominent figure in the music industry and one of the best DJs in the music industry.
