The film Enchanted has a soundtrack album released in November, 2007.
The title of that soundtrack album is "Enchanted: Original Soundtrack". It has been released by the label Walt Disney Records and contains a number of 15 songs, 5 of them being original ones. Almost all of the music has been produced by Alan Menken and Stephen Schwartz. The recording process started in 2006 and extended to the length of almost an entire year.
Other producers that have contributed to the album were the names of Mark Bright and Blake Neely.
Alan Irwin Menken is a composer and songwriter and also a pianist and he has been active since the year 1980. He is best known for his works on the music of "The Little Mermaid", "Aladdin", "Pocahontas" and "Beauty and the Beast", each of these works getting him to become the receiver of two Academy Awards.
Among his other significant works we can remember "Hercules", "The Hunchback of Notre Dame", "Home on the Range", "Tangled", "The Shaggy Dog", "Mirror Mirror", "Galavant".
Alan Menken has also won a Tony Award in 2012, for Best Original Score with the musical score of "Newsies".
That same film score managed to get him, the same year, another award, namely the Drama Desk Award for Outstanding Music.
Alan Menken is a great American composer that also knows how to play guitar, violin and accordion. His musical genres of choice range from pop to operatic pop, also having influences in the musical theatre industry. In his career, he worked alongside the following labels: Disneyland, Warner Bros, Walt Disney Records and he has associated himself with various acts.
We can remember his collaborations with the likes of Howard Ashman, the BBC Philharmonic Orchestra, Tim Rice, Elton John, David Zippel, Glenn Slater and Stephen Schwartz.
Stephen Schwartz is a lyricist and composer that has had a career lasting over forty years.
He managed to write music for hit musicals such as "Godspell" in 1971, "Pippin" one year later and "Wicked" in 2003. His lyrics have been used in many movies, such as "Pocahontas" in 1995, one year later "The Hunchback of Notre Dame", "The Prince of Egypt" in 1998.
Among Schwartz’s major works we can remember the stage ones, like: "Butterflies Are Free", "Mass", "The Magic Show", "Working", "The Trip", "Children of Eden", "Snapshots", "Houdini".
He managed to win throughout his career a total of three Oscar Awards, three Grammy Awards, 4 Drama Desk Awards and just one Golden Globe Award. In 2008, he became part of the Hollywood Walk of Fame and one year later got inducted in the Songwriters Hall of Fame and the American Theatre Hall of Fame.
