High Hopes by Kodaline piano sheets for free
"High Hopes" is a single from the alternative rock quartet Kodaline.
It was recorded in 2012 and released as a digital download on March 15, 2013. It was the first single from their debut album "In A Perfect World".
The song peaked number one on the Irish Singles Chart and was also featured in the trailer for the movie "Love, Rosie".
The band itself was formed in Dublin, in 2005, using the name "21 Demands".
The idea of a group initially came to Steve Garrigan and Mark Prendergast, whom were childhood friends. Later on, they were joined by Vinny May and Jason Boland. The band came into general attention after their participation on the talent competition "You're A Star".
Their first single was name "Give Me A Minute" and it topped the Irish Singles Chart.
After that, came their album "In A Perfect World", which was composed of various successful songs, such as "Latch", "Brand New Day", "Love Like This", "Big Bad World", "All I Want" or "The Answer".
They were featured in some television series, including "Grey's Anatomy", "Catfish" and "The Vampire Diaries".
The band covered a famous 1980 song, "Coming Up", from the former "The Beatles" member, Paul McCartney.
Kodaline won an EBBA award, "Public Chice Award", in 2013, and they were nominated at the MTV Music Awards for "Brand New For 2013", as well as at the BBC Awards for "Sound Of 2013".
The music video for the single was released on January 23, 2013 via YouTube with a duration of four minutes and ten seconds, unlike the track’s length of three minutes and thirty-one seconds.
It featured actor Liam Cunningham. The video presents the story of a man who, while driving his car and preparing to kill himself, sees a woman who is trying to get away from her broom.
He invites her in and helps her escape, and, as time goes by, they develop a beautiful love story. However, the angry broom finds them and tries to kill them both. It ends with a scene in which the main character is in the hospital along with his lover, as they both survived the experience.
"High Hopes" reached number sixteen on the UK Singles Chart, number 13 in Scotland and 23 in Australia.
"High Hopes" has become a very popular song, which receives much demand from the audience.
It is one of Kodaline's greatest songs so far and promises to remain in people's musical choices for much more time to come.
