100 Years by Five for Fighting piano sheets for free
Five for Fighting is the stage name for American Vladimir John Ondrasik III, a singer, songwriter and piano player, involved in genres such as the pop rock and alternative rock genres.
Being born in a family of musicians, he started playing the piano as a child and as a teenager even took on the guitar and started writing music by himself. Having a short opera inclination as well, he decided that his talent is better put to use in songwriting and he followed his dream.
We are now happy to have piano sheets from such a talented piano player, that puts his piano skills to use in the rock genre.
His third album debuting at number 20 on Billboard 200 in February 2004, the single "100 Years"reached top on Billboard Hot Adult Contemporary Tracks.
The album was called "The Battle for Everything" and it was certified Platinum in 2009, having been previously certified Gold in 2004. Having worked on the album with producer Bill Bottrell, who is known for working with Sheryl Crow, the album was fully released on the third of February.
The music video has been directed by Trey Fanjoy and got pretty successful at the time, seeing the screens for the first time in January 10, 2004. Ranking at number 30 on VH1’s Top 40 Music Video Countdown of 2004, it lasted for 18 weeks on VH1’s Top 20.
The video features images of John playing the piano and singing, intertwined with fantasy versions of himself at the age of 15 or as an old man, rediscovering himself at a late age.
The video aims to express as vividly as possible the lyrics of the song, which tell a little about the singer’s life, who started at the age of 15.
Then, at 33, the idea of family comes into play, at 45 the "crisis" and then the part of your life when you're wise..and old.
Writing music for several movies such as "August Rush", "Chicken Little", "Everyone’s Hero", "We were soldiers" and even recording a song for the "Brothers in Arms" documentary, Five for Fighting is an elaborate musical act, from which we hope to continue to hear.
