She joined at the age of 15 a group of male vocal singers, called "The Primes" and, after winning a talent contest in Canada, they got into Motown Records after graduation. They changed their name to "The Supremes" and Ross got assigned to be the lead singer.

They soon released a song called "Where Did Our Love Go", which was an absolute hit and started to chart top 40 with number-one hit singles during the 1964-1967 period. Florence Ballard got replaced by Cindy Birdsong and the group got called "Diana Ross and The Supremes", Diana’s solo career debut having to wait though 4 years between 1966 and 1970, the ‘70s being a great period to which we owe the existence of much awesome sheet music.

Diana signed a solo career contract with Motown and released her self-titled album, featuring great songs such as "Reach Out and Touch" or "Ain’t No Mountain High Enough", the second one earning Diana a Grammy nomination.

Her second album is called "Everything Is Everything", with the track "I’m Still Waiting" becoming a number one hit in the United Kingdom. Diana’s third album was "Surrender", which included the single "Remember Me". From that period we remember other famous songs by her such as "Touch Me in the Morning", "Do You Know Where You’re Going To", "Love Hangover".

In 1979, the album "The Boss" got certified Gold and one year later she released "Diana", which is her best-selling album. In 1981, her first RCA album got released, "Why Do Fools Fall in Love", selling over a million copies and in 1982 she released "Silk Electric", which furthered her success.

Other successful albums followed, such as "Swept Away", "Eaten Alive" or "Workin’ Overtime", "The Force Behind the Power", "Take Me Higher", "Every Day Is a New Day", "The Force Behind the Power".

In 2006, she released the before unreleased 1972 album, "Blue", followed by "I Love You".
